At Wind Play Shop, we want your kite-flying experience to be as smooth as the Vermont breezes we test our products in. If your purchase didn’t soar to your expectations, our returns process is designed to be as straightforward as flying one of our classroom kites.
Our Return Promise
We accept returns within 15 days of receiving your order. Items must be in original condition – unused, unflown, and with all original packaging intact (just like when they left our workshop).
How to Return or Exchange
Step 1: Initiate Your Return
Contact our wind experts within 15 days of delivery to start your return:

- Subject line: “Return Request – [Your Order Number]”
Step 2: Prepare Your Package
Pack your items securely in the original packaging (just like you’d protect your dual-line sport kites from tangles). Include:
- The original packing slip or a copy of your order confirmation
- A note indicating whether you want a refund or exchange
Step 3: Ship Your Return
Send your package to:

We recommend using a trackable shipping service. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Refund Timeline & Methods
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Processing Time: 3-5 business days
- Refund Method: Original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Appearance on Your Statement: 5-10 business days depending on your financial institution
Exchange Process
Want to exchange for a different kite or accessory? Follow the same return process but indicate you’d like an exchange. We’ll:
- Process your return once received
- Contact you to confirm exchange item availability
- Ship your new item with the same care we give all our wind play products
Note: You’ll be responsible for any price difference and additional shipping costs.

Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned:
- Custom or personalized items (like Bulk roll materials cut to specific lengths)
- Used Kite Line or Line Laundry items
- Opened Carbon Spars packages
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your kite arrived damaged or you received the wrong item (maybe a banner when you ordered a flag), contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the issue. We’ll make it right faster than you can say “wind direction!”
International Returns
For our global customers (excluding certain Asian and remote regions):
- You’re responsible for return shipping costs
- Customs fees are non-refundable
- Please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional charges
